New insights report reveals treasure on the Gold Coast

A new insights report, published by Colliers International, reveals that Gold Coast’s growing economy shows “no signs of slowing down”. With five main influencing factors identified, property developers are in fair position to capitalise on this growth.

Four recent residential development projects, all exceeding $1 billion, display just a sample of the significant investment planned for the region. Other notable projects are the M1 highway upgrade, light-rail expansion between Broadbeach and Burleigh Heads, a new cultural precinct planned for Surfers Paradise, as well as other shopping precinct investments.

Tourism continues to grow, as does migration/population. From 2010 – 2015 the Gold Coast experienced a growth rate of 31%. This trend is “anticipated to continue and could also accelerate given the exposure the Commonwealth Games is likely to create for the Gold Coast”. Included with this anticipated growth, is the additional 37,000+ jobs by May 2022.
