Phil Allison chose to take a risk on land in 2008. He secured his opportunity by playing a gathering job at a Hunters Hill organization. "Chris and I began together on commission just, in a little office without any windows, sharing a work area. It was so confined, one of us couldn't move without the other getting up as well. However, we were ready to go and all set." Despite hitting the telephones and entryway thumping for quite a long time, Phil and Chris didn't list a solitary property for the initial half-year. "We began in April, so it was coming into winter, and the market was calming down. Our entryway thumped each day. I'd be on one side of the road, Chris on the opposite side. We'd return home to change our shirts at noon since they'd be absorbed perspiration. In the early evening, we'd get on the telephones. We did that all day, every day. "It was so extreme, and there were days when it was difficult to get up. We felt like we were wasting time. In any case, we had this vision that we planned to make it. We just clutched that and put our heads down. "Any time we had a touch of cash – its majority came from mum and father at that point - we'd put it into showcasing. DLs, press advertisements, anything to get our name out there. We utilized each actual promoting channel we could consider to make the insight we were fruitful. "I recall in that initial a half year we had individuals see our press advertisements and say to us 'you all are doing so well, great on you'. I'm remaining before them, and in my mind, I'm thinking, 'my god, we haven't sold a thing'," Phil clarified.
